"LAAttitude"
Los Angeles>> We arrived in the Los Angeles knowing that it was going to be along day. We were supposed to play on-air @ KXLU in Loyola that afternoon and then get to the club in Hollywood to load in at 6:30. Generally, we were feeling pretty good, as our whole LA debacle had been solved thanks to the wonderful Jennifer from Spaceland who hooked us up with the Knitting Factory show. Also, we were hitting the home stretch. Our on-air at KXLU went pretty well (you can judge for yourself by listening to the tracks), but we had to lug our gear pretty far, so backs were sore and brows were sweaty, but off we went to Hollywood (please pronounce Hahrrywood). Here we are... yes, take a right on Hollywood Blvd... there it is... Knitting Factory west. Hmm... The Knitting Factory Los Angeles appears to be part of a mall. Oh well, its LA. The inside does not disappoint for LAness, as it is all very modern, clean, expensive, but not very rock n roll, I must say. The place is littered with computer terminals for patron to use for god knows what (when's the last time you were at a rock club with drink in hand and said "gee, if only i had internet access right now"). I next tried to find someone who could tell me whether or not we would be fed and/or paid that evening. I approached a surly looking gent sitting in a cage in the middle of the club. I asked him
