Tour Diary:
"That's a Capitol Idea"
Sacramento>> Downtown Sacramento is the home to the Capitol Garage, which, as you might have guessed, used to be an actual garage. My sister and brother-in-law live very close to downtown Sac, and we are treated to snacks and, more importantly, laundry. My girlfriend, Emily, is coming up to meet us... and she's bringing Bishop, our dog. My mom is also coming to the show, which will be strange. Rock and moms don't really mix, ya know? I mean, its not like its a soccer game or something... or maybe it is. Maybe this is just AYSO for 32 year olds. Em and Bishop meet me at the hotel... good to see them. We make it over to the club to load in. The place is kinda small, but neatly laid out with a small stage to the side of the entrance and a balcony area upstairs. We open that night, and get rockin' right away. The whole set up thing is getting really easy now, and stage fright or pre-show nervousness seems to be totally absent, well, not totally. We are really loud in this little place and all I can think about is, "I wonder what my mom thinks of all this". I still don't know. Anyway, we wind it up and pack it up. I go back to the hotel with Em while the others stay to watch the other bands. The next morning Em and i hit a Noah's bagels before she and Bishop leave town. Our order is completely wrong in every way and upon returning with the new, corrected order Em tells me why. Guy walks into bagel store, bagel boy says "Hey dude! Good to see you! I got the whole band working here now!". Good to see some things never change. We have a long day today.
